3 WAYS TO STYLE A DRESS FOR FALL

I have such a love of wearing and restyling things I have in my closet and the 3 looks below are all new and different than how I styled this gorgeous yellow dress last summer in this post. I’m excited to share 3 ways to style a dress for fall!

denim jacket + heels

these little summer sandals are too cute to put away right now, I’m ALL for bringing out the booties don’t get me wrong but I want to hold on to my heels and cute open toe shoes for a bit longer. pairing this dress with a denim jacket adds a casual vibe and the braided sandals are playful and flirty – perfect for a date night or girls outing!

it doesn’t get terribly chilly here until about October/November so sandals it is but layered my look with a denim jacket to bring those fall vibes

cardigan + printed flats

print mixing is what I do to bring in extra flair to an outfit – the floral dress is subtle (this practically feels like a solid to me) so wearing a leopard shoe just feels so natural. leopard is brown and black in this case and so I consider the shoes a neutral too. find what works for you but bringing in another print or pattern to a look is totally fun!

longer cardigans with shorter dresses make great summer to fall transition outfits

sweater + boots

one of my favorite style tricks is to wear a top/sweater OVER a dress. it instantly makes the dress look like a skirt and gives you countless more outfit combinations!

I can’t believe how fast summer passed – I feel like it was such a blur! welcoming a new baby into our home sure made the months go by quickly! between preparing for her arrival and then celebrating her 1st month birthday last week, it’s felt like a busy few months. are you excited for back in school season? or are you missing the slow days of summer like I am??
