STRAW HATS + AFFORDABLE SUMMER STYLE FINDS

I’ve been living in straw hats + affordable summer style finds this season so I thought I’d share a few of my favorite straw and rattan pieces to bring that beachy/lived in vibe to my looks.

there’s something about those woven, natural fibers that accent so well to summer dresses. I love the colors and the lightness that rattan and straw bring to an outfit.

flowy dresses are must have’s for me in summer (especially pregnant) and any of these are gorgeous and perfect for a growing bump!

bright pink lips are always a good idea (especially in summer, when they match the roses) this shade is First Date and I LOVE it. it’s the prettiest bright pink without being too red toned. it’s a peppermint flavor and I love the clean ingredients – lipstick linked here

with national lipstick day coming up on July 29th I’ve been researching lipstick ingredients and did you know there are so many things we actually should be seriously avoiding in our lip products?! ingredients like fragrance, phalates, parabens, lead, dyes, and much more. (endocrine disruptors can lead to cancer, infertility and more)

I use the EWG app to verify products I’m unsure of – they list the ingredients and share a rating based on safety. check it out! I use it on household cleaners and laundry products too!

this summer I’ve also started wearing more minty blues and it all started with this Kendra Scott choker necklace, since these photos I’ve actually added a few more beautiful pieces to my collection that I’ll link below.

I love the pop of color that it brings to any outfit and in this case – the mint matched perfectly with my dress!

thanks for reading straw hats + affordable summer style finds!

and I hope you learned something new about lip products! I’m a big fan of lipstick, glosses, etc and it’s becoming more of a passion to discover the safety behind our personal care industry. if you’re curious on learning more – go here.
