ways to wear it || floral top 3 ways

one of my favorite series of posts that I do here on Stripes in Bloom is when I share the ‘ways to wear it’ meaning … I show how to style one item (or a few of the same thing) in multiple outfits! today is all about how I wear an easy floral blouse and my favorite dark denim jeans.

I’m trying to get back to what I started doing here which is share how to use what’s in your closet already to the BEST of its ability. I want you to feel like you can style what you’ve got OR if you do feel inclined to buy something new – that you can be inspired to wear that item in more ways than one.

I like going through my own closet and thinking of new and fun ways to style pieces. I buy things because I like them, so to only wear them once or even in only one outfit makes me sad. if I love an item, I want to be able to wear it as many times as I can. so that’s what I’m excited to share! let’s get right into how I style a floral top 3 ways!

OUTFIT 1

I love a little glitz and glam, and this outfit with the sherpa fur, the glitter and the satin headband has me feeling like a queen!

I love all the textures and layers of shades of pink. it all works together because they’re in the same color palette. I love the monochrome trend and I don’t think it’s going anywhere – so wear head to toe blue, or yellow or pink – it’s a look and I’m here for it!

and you don’t have to spend the big bucks to be stylish, I got this headband at the dollar store! for literally $1! can you even get over that?! I’m obsessed! what’s your best dollar store find???

OUTFIT 2

the most casual of the floral top 3 ways looks, this outfit is a typical outfit for me these days. I love wearing cardigans and hats. I feel this outfit best describes my style on days when I want to be cute but also comfortable.

I love booties and this pair I’ve had for a few years, the cognac is so classic and is the perfect brown (love this pair of booties here). my burgundy hat adds a pop of color to this neutral look. I like to play with colors and patterns and even though my top doesn’t have any burgundy in it, the color family of the mauve/pink makes it so the burgundy works well.

OUTFIT 3

this look is sophisticated and definitely more neutral. I love the mix of gray and tan with the pop of pink in my top. my suede moto jacket (similar here and here) is certainly a piece that I reach for when I want an edge but when I think the black leather is ‘too harsh’ looking. I think the suede feels feminine, expensive and is more wearable in my opinion.

I feel polished and put together. my flats I got over the summer just after the Nordstrom anniversary sale and my moto jacket I actually got during the same sale a few years ago. it’s such a classic piece and it’s been a great investment for my wardrobe.

which of the floral top 3 ways looks is your favorite?? tell me in the comments!

have an incredible day friends!

my bag is a Louis Vuitton that I purchased from Fashionphile in 2018, but if you’d like to see I just updated my designer look for less handbags post where I share dupes for designer styles, or here is my unboxing video for my bag. I hope you enjoy!
