odd molly .. pink corduroy skirt + my mental health

PINK!

when is that color NOT on my mind? lol I can’t help myself, but if something comes in pink, I’m probably going to want it. and this adorable corduroy skirt by Odd Molly is the PERFECT summer to fall transition piece for your wardrobe.

and for my gals that aren’t a fan of pink – good news – it comes in brown!

corduroy is such a fun texture and I find myself gravitating towards thicker fabrics and luxe materials as the weather starts to cool down in addition to layering and wearing warmer, richer tones.

I love the pink skirt here with the warm browns and creams. to be honest, I think of a neapolitan ice cream – but that’s not a bad thing right?! lol

VULNERABLE MOMENT HERE

I’ve been thinking a lot about fall, and how I get feeling extra anxious and sad as the season changes .. so I’m going to start sharing more about what I’m doing to combat this struggle I have. I haven’t been to a doctor about this. I haven’t been told I have depression by anyone but I do know something is different inside me.

(not everyday but weekly) I’ll have moments where I feel completely depleted, and I start having the worst anxiety. I get sad and start crying as the sun goes down. it’s so strange and I don’t know what triggers it coming on or what to do when it happens. I just know that I don’t like the dark, I don’t like the cold and I feel like only summertime makes me happy.

a friend mentioned that I should make a fall bucket list or something like it. creating a bucket list will keep me creative, busy and help me enjoy this time and make memories with my family and so I have something fun to look forward to and I can keep my mind off the seasonal depression that hits me around this time of year. so I’m thinking I’ll draft up a bucket list to share within the next couple weeks!

if any of you deal with seasonal depression, what do you do? I’d love to hear your thoughts!

my mental health is very important to me and I am working towards creating a positive schedule for myself to balance work, mom life, wife life and to have time for my spiritual, mental, physical and emotional health.

it’s not all perfect outfits everyday over here. and that’s something I hope to open up more about in the future. I want to create a space where we can have fun and talk about clothes and makeup but also where we can realize that we all have our struggles and we can be supportive and loving towards each other.
