dressy thanksgiving outfit inspiration

I don’t typically get dolled up for Thanksgiving (I’d rather be in leggings lol) but really a dress can be SO comfortable – and the style I’m wearing has an elastic waistband, providing stretch and comfort (for all that yummy food right?!) if you’re not a ‘dress’ kind of gal or if you keep your Thanksgiving casual – come back to my blog this week to check out another outfit inspiration! I don’t know what I’ll ‘actually’ be wearing on Thanksgiving this year, but I love doing these posts and sharing a bit of inspiration.Β

I love the burnt orange shade in this dress, it encompasses ‘fall’ but because of the chiffon fabric it feels light and feminine. I love incorporating colors and textures into the fall season, and this dress would be perfect paired with a snuggly teddy coat

I’ve styled this fun dress with a velvet hair bow and suede booties (similarΒ here). I tried a simple hairstyle too – I usually curl my hair and call it a day, but if you want to go the ‘extra mile’ and at least look like you tried – just take your slept on bedhead hair and pull half of it up in a braid and tie it back with a pretty scrunchie! nobody will EVER think it took less than two minutes – add a pair of pretty earrings, a bit of lipstick and you are glammed up and ready to go!Β

what’re your plans for Thanksgiving this year??Β

we are headed to Nash’s dads’ ranch in Nevada and we are so excited to see their home renovations! they’ve been busy working on the inside, and my step mother in law has such a fun and unique style, so I’m anticipating a lot of pretty details!Β

my dress is from Bohme, old // booties H&M, old // Jane hair scrunchie
