mixing prints is always so fun for me, but can be intimidating. a few tricks I use to create a ‘no brainer’ pattern mix are to pair two different ‘scales’ together. here the smaller floral in the top with the larger scale floral patterned skirt totally work together!
the other tip for mixing prints is utilizing the same color palette, here the whites, pinks and navy are the similarity. another note is because of the busy patterns going on keep the rest of the outfit really simple, I paired blush flats and the cutest gray watch to complete the look. the new DownEast collection has a TON of cute pieces that are all meant to mix and match together to fit your style!
I hope these tips help when you’re going to mix a few prints together! I love how this outfit turned out and I’m excited to wear it over and over again! pink and navy have been a favorite color combination of mine for years (seriously, you can look back at a lot of my posts, and there is a definite color theme 😉 haha, I like what I like) what colors or patterns are your drawn to???
my best little friend joining on the photo shoot fun! I just adore her little smile and am glad she’ll hop in the pictures with me! these are pictures I’ll cherish forever!
the marble print in this gray watch really is the icing on the cake for such an adorable piece. I love how simple but pretty this watch is. and below Navi is trying to copy me 😉 it’s so funny how easy kids catch on!
this outfit has got to be one of my favorites this summer, I haven’t worn prints together for a while and I love how playful and fun a tee shirt and skirt can be 🙂
thank you for reading!
