.15 staples in building a wardrobe.

today I’m sharing my 15 staples in building a wardrobe and for a fun twist I have compiled these 15 pieces into 10 complete outfits! I hope you enjoy and can find inspiration in doing more with less 😉 I know I’ve certainly grown from doing this .. and hey! I have more outfit combinations than I used to. I did something like this post last year entitled “10 with 10” to see those posts go here 🙂

my favorite thing is that the following looks can be worn ANY season!

I have not linked my exact items because many of them are old / no longer available .. I am however linking more options down below for each of the items so if you’re interested you can shop from those or use what you’ve already got in your closet to recreate these looks or if you’re inspired to do more with less come up with your own fun combinations 🙂 I’d love to hear about what your wardrobe must haves are / what you’re pairing in new ways.

my 15 items consisted of …

1. a solid colored dress (either a favorite color, or a neutral .. one you know you can wear anytime)

2. a patterned scarf (this will add dimension and interest to your wardrobe, it’s easy to incorporate  colors and patterns in an easy accessory like a scarf)

3. dark wash jeans (self explanatory 😉 they go with everything and are so flattering!)

4. button up blouse (a fun color or a neutral, either way you’ll look feminine and put together)

5. booties (great for all seasons / occasions, you can wear with dresses or pants .. the perfect shoe!)

6. solid tee shirt (pick a neutral you know you can pair with anything .. I love grey!)

7. white jeans (or black .. whatever you think you’ll wear more – honestly I would just pick both!)

8. statement necklace (this will glam up any outfit and add a fun pop to plain tops)

9. moto jacket (classic and cool, style this jacket with anything to give it an extra bit of edge)

10. nude heels (uhm. yes. just do it. mmk? 😉

11. lightweight sweater (you’ll want to wear it all year long and in a flowy shape, it’s really pretty!)

12. pencil skirt (also a no brainer 😉 wear it dressy, to work and to play. it’s a friend not a foe)

13. denim jacket (I’m sounding repetitive, but you’ll wear it always 😉

14. sneakers (comfy and yes, cute! a great daily shoe that is functional)

15. flats (another side to comfy shoes, easy on and off!)
