.no heat hair tutorials.

picture tutorials! step by step! I hope they’re easy to follow along with πŸ™‚

I started out with curled hair that had been washed the night before. These styles are perfect for any day but are especially nice in the summer time because they require no heat tools, and can be done using any texture of hair … curly, straight, wavy. They’re also nice for the 2nd or 3rd day after washing and you just need to do -something- with it. Enjoy! πŸ™‚ if you have any requests for tutorials / posts let me know!

– braided crown –

.. take about 2 inches of your hair and begin braiding

.. ( I didn’t have a mirror, but it was supposed to be a french braid backwards ) .. I brought it along my head for about two inches before I continued down just that beginning chunk of hair

.. once at the bottom I secured it with a couple of bobby pins at the back of my head

.. I tucked it under the back of my hair

.. you could be done at this point, because it’s beautiful to have just the one braid but I decided to show the other side done up too

.. braid just like the previous side

.. this time I met in the middle above my hair and secured using an elastic

– fishtails –

.. divide your hair split down the middle on each side, continue down your hair using the fishtail braiding technique ( I learned from random people on youtube

.. just continue until you get to the bottom

.. I leave about 1 – 2 inches out and secure with an elastic, repeat on the other side

.. here’s the look .. some advice πŸ˜‰ it works better if both sides are even, if you part your hair down the center ( instead of the side, like me ) you’ll end up with equally full braids

– messy top knot –

(here’s a link to the video of this)

.. I prefer no part line in this hair style, but if you like a part you can make one, bring all of your hair to the back / top area of your head

.. have an elastic ready on your arm and pull over like you’re doing a normal pony tail, don’t pull your hair all of the way through, leave about 2 -3 inches hanging out and begin to wrap your elastic around the other way of your hair

.. it’ll look something like this, I got my elastic around 3 times

.. tug and wrap the hairs around in a way that pleases you, you can bobby pin hairs in place

.. here’s the back

– braid into bun –

.. take about a 1 -2 inch section of your hair and braid into a french braid and secure with an elastic

.. get your hair ready in a pony tail shape

.. bring the braid up to meet the pony tail, place to where it will lie flat against your head

.. continue to pull the elastic around your pony tail creating a loose bun

.. you can tuck and use bobby pins where needed to get the look of bun you want
