.freshly picked diaper bag – review part 2.

I’m so excited to be sharing an updated review on the Freshly Picked diaper bag today! you can check out my first impressions post here. We’ve now used the bag everyday for 3 months and with two kids I feel I’ve been able to fully utilize the bag and I can give a fair and honest, true opinion about this diaper bag.

functionality –

pockets – I’ve found that I use all the pockets for something except for the very front zip pocket on the front of the bag, this one for me is just for looks. I don’t want anything bulging out right there and making the pocket stretch out. The pockets are all roomy enough and I can fit my como tomo bottles nicely inside the inner pockets. The issue I had when I first looked at the bag was that my daughter’s water bottles weren’t fitting very well into the outer pockets IF something was on the inside pocket on that same side. We put diapers on the inside pockets and so I just have to put the water bottle on the opposite side of the diapers and it fits just fine.

straps – I have never used the cross body strap on this bag, I almost always wear it as a backpack. It’s easier that way for me to carry because I feel like I’ve got a baby on my hip or balancing the carseat and holding a toddlers hand is already too much going on πŸ˜‰ so my back is usually the only open space I have. I do hold it by the top handle to get it into the car and it’s a quick pick up – I really love this detail.

durability –

wear + tear – the bag has a few scuffs on the front pocket area and to be honest I’ve been able to get them clean with just water in the past but this time I may need to take a chance with some leather cleaner. the inside is holding up so well – no tears or stains. it wipes clean and I love that it’s entirely lined (even the flap on the back) so it’s wipeable in case anything spills. the straps don’t seem to be tearing from the weight of the bag either – which is really good. I was afraid they’d rip or break and I haven’t seen any wear on them.

overall thoughts on looks and what we fit inside –

the look – I think this bag looks so chic and sleek and I love the shape! it’s classic yet trendy at the same time. I feel stylish but I also know my bag is very functional and fits LOADS of stuff.

what’s inside – seriously I haven’t cleaned it out in a while –

we’ve got a large pocket for books/coloring books/ changing pad

a small pocket for fruit snacks/apple sauce pouches/ Indie’s bottle

a small pocket for Indie’s diapers

a side pocket for Navi’s diapers

the middle section for wipes, formula, little toys, burp cloth, more snacks, my wallet,

outside pockets for Navi’s water bottle and my phone

all with more space too! I love that the bag has an easy zipper and a flap over top .. I REALLY love this diaper bag and can’t express how happy I am that we got it. My husband even will hold it πŸ˜‰ which is a huge deal – we didn’t want anything that was too ‘girly’ and this is perfect for us.

wearing the cutest yellow Romwe cardigan c/o – it’s so on trend and I love that it’s great for colder spring mornings

diaper bag comes in black, gray, tan, cream, navy and pink

do you have a favorite diaper bag???

let me know if you have this bag and what you think of it!

thanks for reading!!
