.gray + a good hair day.

I love the ruffle trend that has been so popular this year, I really hope it always stays in style ;) because as someone who dresses more on the feminine side, ruffles fit right in my wardrobe!

this gray sweater I got at a local boutique - I was invited to a special bloggers night and literally 4 of us walked out with it that night ;) THAT'S how you know it's good! but really though, I liked that the ruffle was on the front of the top, some tops I've seen lately have really chunky or majorly detailed sleeves but then they don't fit well under jackets or coats and when it's as cold as it has been here - coats are non negotiable - you wear the coat! when I was taking pictures for this outfit it was about 45 degrees, this past week we've been in the 20's - YIKES! that's so cold! it definitely makes me not want to go anywhere.

I can't help but really appreciate my own hair in these photos ;) I don't know why I was having such a great hair day - maybe it was the fabulous hat?! ;) no but really. I've been asked a lot about how I curl my hair (video here) and which products I use so I'll link them below :)

shampoo // conditioner // purple shampoo // straightener, found on amazon, it's SO old // curling iron // blow dryer, brand GHD // dry shampoo // hairspray

some basics about my hair care routine :

- I don't wash my hair everyday, I wash it about every 3-4 days

- I only use dry shampoo on the last day before I wash my hair
(I try to put it in before bed so it absorbs all night long)

- I try to use my purple shampoo every washing - so that's about twice a week

- I rarely brush my hair, embarrassing maybe ;) but really, I brush it maybe once a week, I blow dry it after I shower and just go right into either straightening or curling it - only when it's dry and a day old do I usually brush through it

feel free to ask any more hair questions below in the comments and I'll be happy to answer them :) these are just some of the basics and most commonly asked - I might be doing a post on my hair journey sometime lol I have had everything from a platinum pixie to long black hair, to straight across bangs, to orange, red and everything in between - the hair I have currently is the longest I've ever had a basic look or color - it's been so long since I've done anything drastic :)
what do you think? I usually say 'hair is just hair, it grows back' but as I've gotten older I've really loved what I've had - 'basic blonde' ;) and I feel it suits me, but I want to know ...
what's been your favorite hair on yourself?

I really loved being dressed in darker neutrals, all grays and blacks. these over the knee boots are by far my favorites! I find they stay up on my legs REALLY well and the fit is really flattering :) (linked below) they're only $40 too - which blows my mind - because they're so great!

hat // sweater // denim // boots // lip

thanks for stopping by!

and what do you think of the ruffles trend? would you wear them?

xo, Jensyn
