every girl needs a beautiful white dress, and no, not just for her wedding day ;) I seriously have fallen in love with white especially for dresses and I literally squeal everytime I see a pretty one in any store! I feel like I really could own them all (because they're really all so different ;) right?!) this one I felt was extra special though and I go absolutely crazy for all the embroidery and lace detailing.

the light airy fabric keeps me cool and the adjustable waist tie allows me to rock this cute thing super pregnant ;) and I'll be sure to wear it even when I'm not anymore. I love feeling like a dolled up princess, and for me, this dress makes me feel so feminine and beautiful.

there are so many changes happening over the next two months, I don't work anymore outside my home, my sister left on her LDS mission to serve in Florida for 18 months, my husband is starting up school again and we'll be having a new baby girl join us in October. while I struggle with change, it's something I've learned that in my life, nothing goes the way I planned ;) nothing ends up being what I thought it would and I just need to learn to get over it. haha, but really though. it would save me a lot of heartache and stress if I would just mellow out and go with the flow a little more ;) it's something I'm working on and even when there are days I don't even get to shower because let's be real. being a mom is hard. it also brings me the best joy. and having the opportunity to carry a healthy baby girl and raise her is all I can focus on right now. I truly feel so blessed.

I hope you enjoyed today's outfit, these fields were insanely pretty ;) and smelled so good! and the little buildings in the background made me feel like I was in another country! what fun vibes - definitely gives me the itch to see the world!

.moto x 2.

today's look is a somewhat recreation of the look I put together last week here ... I just loved the moto jacket with the striped top. I thought the color combination was just so pretty and I knew I had to put a look together that featured those cute pieces!

I love that this outfit feels preppy and polished but has some edge because of the zippers everywhere. the mix of textures and patterns also gives this look some fun interest :) by covering one of my patterns (the stripe top) with a jacket, and keeping my jacket and pants solids is an easier transition into mixing prints together :) the stripe is also more subtle and not as bold so it basically works as a neutral - making it the perfect top for any outfit!

.teal and orange floral.

I always love to wear a floral print and I just thought this outfit was so playful because how often do you get to sport a backpack?! right?! this adorable backpack bag I snagged during the nordstrom anniversary sale a few weeks back and haven't looked back! I LOVE it. it honestly is HUGE inside and I love the sleek design ;) if I were you .. I'd hop on this backpack train too.

see what I mean about the adorable backpack straps ;) plus the color matched my top which was pretty cool too

another trend I just won't stop with is the ruffles and bell sleeves! I'll be sharing a ton of pretty options so head to the bottom of my post to see all my picks! :)

these booties were also from the nordstrom anniversary sale and I'm so happy with them! the only thing is, you've got to wear socks ;) maybe not these particular ones (because ew they're showing!) ;) but I had blisters from the first time I tried breaking them in - new leather and bare feet AND the parade of homes do not mix. learned my lesson there. so socks it is! ;)

thanks for reading! I hope you enjoyed the look and let me know if you try the backpack trend??? I just think they're really functional too! especially as a mom - how practical to have a fuss free way to hold your bag!

today's outfit inspiration comes from a fun look I created on the left ;) this entire outfit is from J.Crew and while I LOVE J.Crew I also feel like you can recreate their style using pieces from other retailers that don't cost as much. if you've followed my blog for a while then you know that I love sharing how to get the look for less, so I've linked an entire outfit that is inspired by the J.Crew one :) would you believe me when I say that the 'save' outfit only costs about $160 while the J.Crew 'splurge' look costs about $1,200! that's quite a price difference!! my favorite pieces from the 'save' side are the ballet flats, I think they look adorable - and while they're not Italian leather ;) they still have the same bow and simple detailing that make the J.Crew ones so timeless.

what do you think?? can you achieve the look for less??

thanks for stopping by :) have a great week!

.swim days.

impromptu shoot with my sister from the beginning of summer :) I was feeling daring and didn't have too many swimsuits at the time ;) this was before I went in and purchased my first Albion Fit swimsuit. my sister edited my pictures and took them for me, I'm really going to miss my blogging buddy when she leaves on her mission next month. she has such an eye for her style and does such a great job learning new things to better herself at photography - she just started a youtube channel and does really cool videos! check her out here ;) and her instagram here

I'll be honest, being in a swimsuit I feel I notice my 'body flaws' more and it's so easy to criticize ourselves, but we are more than our bodies! AND our bodies are fabulous! they do amazing things for us - so while I'm not super tan or toned - I can still wear my suit with confidence :) I can be proud and happy with my body no matter the 'stage' I'm in.

.black and leopard.

I recently fell in love (again) with my moto jeggings. I wore them to death last year ;) but had totally spaced that I had them in my wardrobe until one day when my jeans weren't clean and I had no other pant options. I reached for them and because of the stretch waistband they're actually my favorite pants for maternity wear too! I was so comfortable in this outfit, cute flats, and oversized graphic tee, and basically leggings. guys. this outfit could not be anymore easy!

I love the zipper detail on the pants AND these leopard mules are one of my favorite shoes - talk about ease of getting off and on ;) plus they look so chic!

Navi wanted in on the pictures too ;) isn't she just a doll. everyday she grows a little more and as it does break my heart, each day does get that much more fun and she constantly amazes me with how smart she is.
