.bright + bold for the win.

it snowed yesterday - a TON and now I'm grateful we shot some of my 'warmer' looks before the big storm rolled in. this look was from a couple sundays ago, and I just felt like being bright and fun! just because it's fall and now, winter - doesn't mean you can't have fun wearing some color ;)

I could've toned down this dress with some neutral booties and a denim jacket but I thought 'why not go bold?!' and just went for an entirely pink and orange ensemble - with a beautiful pop of turquoise in my clutch :) I LOVE wearing color and I have been saving this gorgeous J.Crew blazer for the perfect day, and this fun floral printed dress was an instant must!

this is a LuLaRoe dress and my friends @lularoesamthomas have plenty more to choose from - join their Facebook page here :) or follow along on Instagram :) and be sure to follow them on their social media - because we'll be doing a giveaway together VERY SOON! :)

wishing you a warm Tuesday! I'm busy cleaning house (it's a day off for me!) and getting things organized for my lesson this Sunday in RS (lucky me ;) sometimes I'm grateful for days I can just stay home and feel accomplished.

.bloggersFALLfor // chambray.

today's look is the last week in our #bloggersFALLfor series, today we're sharing how we style chambray ... while chambray denim has definitely become a staple over the past few years, it's still just so fun to include it somehow and there are so many ways to wear chambray - so we agreed that we should include it in our series :) be sure to check out everyone's posts at end to see all the unique ways to style chambray ;) I chose to play it easy and wear a simple, chambray top and a really bold skirt. it's almost a cop out for how easy to pull off this look is. pencil skirt in a unique pattern ... hmm, I often think, it doesn't match with a whole lot, why not mix in some denim? bam! done! instant outfit.

I actually really love how fun and bold this skirt is. this is a LuLaRoe pencil skirt and my friends @lularoesamthomas have plenty more to choose from - join their Facebook page here :) or follow along on Instagram :)

.burgundy + jade.

this look I wore out the other night on a family date, I went to dinner with Navi and Nash to Olive Garden - because I was craving it! mmm! pasta, soup and salad, oh and the breadsticks! ;) I think I want that now!!! I'm always up for a yummy meal and a good time. *disclaimer* my pictures this coming week are not totally bright and crisp like some of my previous images, the time change with the sun setting at 5 pm has really messed with our schedule and I totally have just chanced taking pictures later on - hoping and praying I'd have a few usable ones ;) so thank you for your support and love. :) you guys are THEE best! now this week is a BUSY week. there's Thanksgiving, and Black Friday - both keep me busy at work and at home :) I'll really be trying to keep a consistent schedule throughout the holidays, but really .. I don't want to promise more than 2 posts a week :( which does bum me out a bit. I already feel like I've missed the boat talking about holiday decor, outfit inspiration and gift ideas - so be on the lookout as I try to incorporate those fun topics into my schedule here :)

oh and while we're talking about holidays, how do you like my burgundy and jade color combination? ;) real classy right??? I like to feel festive without going CrAzY?! :)

Bohme peplum top (found in store) // Halogen lace up flats // Tory Burch handbag (bought used off Poshmark), linked great budget options below // Paige denim (thrifted) c/o Uptown Cheapskate // Maurice's necklace

thank you all for reading :) have a marvelous monday friends!

.floral + feminine.

every woman (no matter your age) needs a dress that you can twirl in. something feminine, flirty and fun. I feel so beautiful when I wear this dress and surprisingly I feel super sexy in it ;) a woman doesn't need to show off her body or bare skin to be attractive. the beauty comes from your confidence. my purpose of writing is to share great deals and wear pretty things ;) but really, I want to help people (men and women included) to feel proud of who they are, and what they have :) meaning, rocking their curvy hips, or owning their toned up stomach, flaunting their gray hairs - whatever it may be that you have - loving the stage you're in.

I met a woman the other day at work, I work in a pretty intimate space and we were talking about body perception. she told me that she didn't care that she had weight to lose, or that her 'tummy' wasn't 'perfect' and tiny yet. she wanted to love herself now. and feel good now. she wanted something to help her feel like she could own the town and be proud of her body. I loved getting to talk to her, because I know SOOOOO many women (and men too) that feel that same way. they'd rather wait to treat themselves to something nice or fun because they feel like they're not 'ready'. I learned a lesson from this sweet woman that day, I too want to love myself now and feel confident always.

thank you so much for reading! have a beautiful weekend :) the weather has definitely changed, temperatures have dropped and we're a bit chillier than the day we took these pictures. as not excited for the snow as I am, I sure am ready for my Christmas tree - oh and Thanksgiving too! ;)

.bloggersFALLfor // long cardigans.

another great week of #bloggersFALLfor trends, and this week is long cardigans! I'm such a fan of layering and in Utah our weather is, well unpredictable. somedays a cardigan is just right because it's too hot in the afternoon for a coat but mornings are chilly ;) I love this chunky cardigan I got from Maurice's about a month ago, it's sooooooo cozy. I really am kicking myself for not buying the tan one too ;) I didn't know I'd love it as much as I do (and now I can't find it online!)

this outfit is pretty casual, booties, moto leggings, hair is up in a pony (rare!) I have days where honestly I don't feel like getting 'too' ready - and a cardigan with a simple tee is sometimes the answer! :) I love that the striped top does give some personality and interest to my simple look. also, I'm a total weirdo - and now that I bright this up you'll totally notice, but whenever I wear my hair up or pulled back - I'll wear earrings. I usually forget that accessory when my hair is down - but if my ears show, you bet I'll decorate them ;) anybody else have some weird/goofy trait or 'thing' that they do?? :)

Maurice's cardigan // Nordstrom striped top // Bohme leggings // Rebecca Minkoff bag, old // Vince Camuto booties (on sale! and best purchase this season)

I seriously always wear these booties ;) they're so worth it!

don't miss out on this week's link up - of course styling a long cardigan brings in so many new and different perspectives - some dressed up the cardigan where others went more casual ;) (like myself) and hello!! apparently stripes are where it's at! ;) I'm aaaaalways a fan of stripes and what better way to incorporate a print then to cover it up with a cozy sweater? ;) no but for real, go check out these ladies blogs / looks out - I'm bummed that next week is the last week of our weekly #bloggersFALLfor trends, this has been my second year doing this and I LOVE it. it's been a blast getting to know these fun ladies and to share our fashion sense with you all. thank you for taking the time to read and hear from us, it means so much. xo
