.print mix master.

cardigan J.Crew Factory // tank Old Navy, similar tee shirt version // jeans Hollister // flats J.Crew Factory (no longer available) // watch Fossil // necklace c/o Robjant Couture // bracelet c/o Robjant Couture // phone case Kate Spade

now in my title I refer to myself as 'master' I don't know if that's 100% correct. ;) however I would say that I enjoy putting different prints together and I really wanted to share how I come up with what to put together.

firstly, I'm not afraid of throwing random colors and prints together. ( you can't be scared of something not "matching", you just have to feel like the colors "go" together )

this outfit was pretty easy and simple because everything is a neutral. navy cardigan, white tank, nude shoes. check. the fun comes because of the polka dots and metallic pineapples finished off with a couple turquoise accessories and watch. :)

because I had two prints that were polka dot ( the dots on my shoes are definitely more subtle and this is important when mixing prints, choose prints that compliment each other, not compete) when I first glance at this look my eye is drawn to the cardigan because of the stark difference between the navy and white.this outfit wasn't 'too' print crazy and the fact that there weren't many 'colors' helped keep the look toned down as well

what do you think of mixing prints?? :) would you try this?

have a fantastic day!

.under $50.

.under $50.

hat // lip gloss // button up top // bracelet // jeans // tote bag // heels

I LOVE finding things on sale, but what I love even more is getting a complete high end look for a whole lot less money ;) I think you'll agree with me too. I don't know anybody that would rather pay more money for basically something they can get cheaper. ( there are SOME things that I will pay more money for, designer brand names, but primarily in jewelry or a purse, not necessarily a white button up or jeans that I can get the look of somewhere less expensive :)

would you guess that the jeans and heels were Target? or that the bracelet and hat were Sole Society?
there's good stuff out there, sometimes it takes a little hunting to find those special and marvelous finds :) but when we do it does wonders for our wardrobe, and bank account ;)

thanks so much for reading!!

my look :

dress, love this one // chambray top, similar // necklace c/o // bracelet c/o // watch // nail polish // headband, similar // flats

I had a blast doing this shoot with Tayler and my husband!

we really wanted to do a maxi dress look because neither of us had done one on our blogs this season, and I feel like a great maxi dress is such a fabulous staple for the summer. It's great for -any- classic summer activity :) chilling at bbq's, afternoon lunches, outside dinners, shopping with friends. I love how easy they are to wear and style.

this bun I did based on a tutorial I randomly found on youtube. I will link it here :) I love how messy and boho it is, it's effortless (some might not like how messy and loose it is, but I really liked how it turned out)

*** the jewelry I have here is from Robjant Couture and she's given readers of Stripes in Bloom a 10% off coupon code to use on her Etsy shop. :) the code is 'inbloomfor10'

thanks so much for reading!! :)

who doesn't want a chance at $50 for J.Crew :)

.the cutest cotton scarf.

sweater, Kohls old, similar here // scarf, J.Crew // jeans, Hollister // booties, Boutique 9, other colors // sunglasses, Target // watch, Fossil // nail polish, Essie - Borrowed & Blue

I have loved this scarf since the very first instant that I saw it in store about a month ago. I was so excited when I bought it on sale! :) J.Crew is always having great deals, I would sign up for their emails so that you know what's going on each day :)

It was raining the week that these pictures were taken and so I wanted to be warm but also wanted to feel summery! This scarf with the blue stripes and neon coral embroidery was so perfect to add to a basic navy sweater, skinny jeans and neutral booties.

I'm really trying to style my hair in different ways, other than just straight or curly. So I did a half up pony tail (it's a little less than half actually) but I LOVE THIS! Nash (my hubs) loved it too. It's super cute, playful, youthful yet stylish and trendy :) I enjoyed it so much because I can have the length of my hair down and have it styled curly, yet the hair isn't right there in my face because the majority of the front is pulled up :)

let me know if you try this hair style and tag me on Instagram :) I'd love to see!
Thank you so much for reading! :)
