.neutral smokey eye.

face // foundation .. bare skin by bare minerals // concealer .. mac prolongwear

eyes // lorac unzipped palette // cobra mascara

lips // milani lipstick

sigma brushes // F80 // F86 // E40 // E30 // E55

this makeup look was based around a look that Jaclyn Hill came up with where the lower lash line is darker and more smoked out 🙂 the foundation I’m using here is the Bare Skin by Bare Minerals and I have heard awesome things about it so I thought I’d check it out. the girl at the counter gave me a sample cup of the color Linen .. I’m not sure if it’s the perfect shade though, it looks good in pictures and in person, just the video is making it look a bit odd. I really love it though. I feel like a little goes a long way (it sure looks like a lot from all the dots on my face) but I swear it’s not 😉 it’s even less than I use from my Makeup Forever HD foundation .. in that I use a full pump and sometimes another half pump. the Bare Skin foundation is also close to $30-40% less than the MUFHD foundation (I didn’t do my exact math) but it’s good and worth it in my eyes. I haven’t tried the new brush for the new foundation though, the girl at the counter used it, but I really love the application of my sigma kabuki so we’ll see if I make the switch eventually.

what are your favorite foundations??? nars sheer glow is on my list to sample next 😉

yesterday I was so excited that Lorac Cosmetics tweeted about my Swatch and Haul video of the Lorac elegant orchid set that is exclusively sold at Kohls. 😉 what a sweet surprise! I’m so happy they liked it! to check out that video go here .. find me on twitter @jensynjeppsen

you don’t want to miss out on something SUPER cool coming tomorrow to the blog 🙂 have a great day .. and as always! thank you for reading (today, watching) 😉

  1. I have always wanted to try the MUFE foundation, but I'm unfortunately a budget shopper most of the time. However, I love the L'oreal True Match Lumi! It really does leave my skin looking more radiant, and the coverage is pretty good. Also, the Revlon Photo Ready is fantastic, as well. Thanks for the suggestions!
