a lot happened in October :) and I will always celebrate my wedding anniversary on the 11th! (this year marked our 2nd year married!) and on the 28th is my blog's birthday / anniversary and we all can't forget that I'm Snow White ;)

this year has been a really fun one you guys!
I began the year with a brand new camera that my hubs and I bought for Christmas and even though we didn't really know what we were doing and I had only blogged for a couple months prior, we were determined as a team to make blogging a more serious hobby :)

first things first, I was a brunette when the year started ;) and in the spring I went back to blonde. in April we moved back to Utah, from living in Nevada for about 9 months, as many of you know we just bought our first home and will be moving in, in the next few weeks. we're SO excited for the upcoming year and all of the adventures that await us.

I'm grateful for my husband and the hours and time he takes to take my pictures and for all the times I've taken him shopping. My family is a huge support to my blog as well and I'm so lucky to have their support too, whenever I need a helping hand, everyone in my family has stepped in and done a beautiful job in assisting me in projects and taking my pictures. We're not pros over here, but I'm so happy with how everything has turned out.

this year I got a blog layout remodel and I am in LOVE with it. Kaylie does such a beautiful job and I enjoy working with her. She's so patient and always hits the nail right on the head!

picking out only 3 outfits from each month was the hardest! but decisions had to be made. :) what were some of your favorite outfits.. leave your answers below! I'm so curious! :) thanks for making this year great and I can't even wait to see what will happen in 2015!

.cozy leather.

Lauren Conrad via Kohl's sweater // Lauren Conrad via Kohl's faux leather skirt (from the summer) // Rue21 tights (last year) // 'nothing else metals' Essie polish // DIY heels .. tutorial here

we've got snow here my friends! ;) even if it is just a skiff (JOKING!) Sunday when these pictures were taken we literally had what you're seeing in these shots, but as the night went on ... oh boy! we got quite the storm! as much as I enjoy seeing a 'winter wonderland' I do not so much enjoy driving in it. ;) anybody with me??? it's good for snowboarding though!

I wore this outfit to church and I actually ended up matching one of the sweet young women in our ward (she must have got the memo for a polka dot sweater, black flared skirt and black tights ;) as most of my followers already know or if you've seen some of my outfits, I like mixing and matching colors, styles and even textures. today's look is no different. I just LOVE this ultra soft sweater with the edgy look of the faux leather skirt. I think a faux / leather skirt is a must have in anyone's wardrobe because you can dress it up, wear it casually and it can so easily become feminine and classy! give it a try! swap out your plain black skirt for a faux leather black skirt this year for a fresh new take on black :) if you're already loving the faux leather skirt, try it in a fun color! I'm thinking navy or pink for myself ;)

thanks for reading! have a warm and happy tuesday!

.updated // how I curl my hair.

here's a quick video on how I have started curling my hair .. I've been doing it this way for about 2 weeks now and I'm loving the way my curls look. they stay more messy and don't intertwine with each other as easily. I hope you enjoyed this tutorial and let me know if you try it! :)

thanks for watching!

.all about these shades.

Kameleonz sunglasses c/o // Bohme boutique cardigan (found in store) // Your Fabrik floral blouse c/o // Hollister jeans // Grace Adele bag (no longer available) // Sole Society booties (old)

this outfit I wore before Christmas while out running errands .. there's not a rule about not being allowed to wear florals in the winter ;) and I LOVE that fact. it's been pretty rainy here and so pairing the fun floral blouse with navy and grey seemed appropriate to brighten up my otherwise 'rainy day' shaded outfit. these boots I bought last fall and finally got them out to wear the other day! they'd been boxed up in storage ;) I'll link below some more booties that I'm loving along with cream bags .. there's just something about a light bag that really brings life to an outfit.

I hope your Christmas week was magical and that you were able to feel the spirit :)
thanks for reading!!

.a few lights.

sweater via Nordstrom Rack (found in store) // faux leather leggings c/o Fabrik // Yosi Samra flats (more linked below) // Fossil watch // Kate Spade earrings (similar linked below) // Essie nail polish 'forever yummy'

I'm in love with how these pictures turned out you guys! Nash and I were driving around looking for the best spot for pics the other night and we saw in the park a few lights on just a couple of the trees. they were red and green and I just thought how adorable that'd be as a background and I really do love it. I LOVE this Christmas season and the wonderful feelings that it brings into our home. I just adore the red and green and white lights, they're so classic and I'm super excited for next year being able to decorate a home. THAT'S RIGHT! a home! {merry christmas to us} :) :) Nash and I bought our very first house! we'll be moving in the first week of the new year and we are SO thrilled. We've been staying with my parents since May of this year and couldn't be more excited! I'm so stoked to decorate ;) so be ready for more DIY and home decor posts!

now enough babbling ;) I'll get to the outfit ...

these leggings ... (where's my heart eyed emoji!?)
you all know that I am just obsessed with this sweater but now that I have faux leather leggings to wear with them .. mm! this is a match made only in heaven!! I threw on my Yosi Samra flats for comfort (I was out doing errands on this day) and needed something cute yet functional.
Fabrik is a company based in Utah and I was so excited when I found them on Instagram. they're prices are reaaaaalllly good and they offer adorable items you'd find in more expensive boutiques, be sure to check them out!

merry christmas eve! :)
I hope you can enjoy family and friends and feel the spirit of this time of year and remember Him and what the true meaning of Christmas is.

Kameleonz sunglasses c/o // Fossil watch // J.Crew top (old) // J.Crew scarf (old) // Hollister jeans // boots (old) // hat via Bohme

today's outfit is something southwest inspired, I love the wide brim hat and my fringed aztec print scarf .. they add that element of the southwestern vibe that is so on trend right now. I love the grey outfit mixed with the bright pops of color like my burgundy hat, mint details in the scarf and my Kameleonz shades. these sunglasses are so much fun! I can swap out the arms for other colors, making these shades super versatile!

I own the SoCal frame and the Arm sets in the colors; black matte, carribean and blue steel
something else besides the fact that Kameleonz are interchangeable is that they are a local Utah company! my husband loves water sports and we both enjoy snowboarding ;) and Kameleonz is ALL about rocking your shades while doing what you love!!
(can't wait to pick out a style for the hubs! best part is these are unisex .. so we can share ;)

I can't even handle that Christmas is just a few days away! :) I'm happy and sad ... December has FLOWN by and I'm not ready for it, I'm ready for the new year though and all the wonderful new beginnings that are coming too! thanks for reading!
